Sophia Ressler
Sophia Ressler (she/her) is an environmental attorney and policy expert currently focusing on federal water conservation policy for the National Wildlife Federation. After attending Colgate University for undergraduate and Pace Law School in New York, Sophia moved back to the Seattle area. She previously worked for Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, protecting the waters of the Salish Sea and the Center for Biological Diversity, protecting native carnivores, salmonids, the Southern Resident killer whales along with other endangered species. Sophia was a camper from 2000-2003 and a unit leader from 2006-2008. She lives in Seattle with her husband Jake and future camper (current toddler) Loretta. Sophia loves spending time on the beaches of the PNW, swimming in natural water bodies, eating good food and hanging out with dear friends, many of whom share her love for Nor’wester. Sophia joined the board in 2025 and is currently serving on the Governance committee.
