Megan Coughlin
Megan Coughlin (she/her) has been part of the Camp Nor’wester family for most of her life — first as a camper in the 1980s, then as staff on Sperry Peninsula, and now as a long-time Board member. She’s served as President, Vice President, and chaired several committees, and, for the past dozen years or more, has worked with the year-round team to keep the camp’s auction running strong. Outside of Nor’wester, Megan has served on the Boards of the NOAH Center and Lakeside School, where she led the Alumni Association. Her day job is in telecom — a career she stumbled into in 1995 and somehow never left. She’s worked with everyone from AT&T to Disney to IBM and now T-Mobile, where she manages software releases and occasionally works late-night shifts (a perfect time for a nice data entry or cleanup task). She lives in Seattle with her Corgi, Bertie Woofster, two orange cats, and a few generations of crows; and enjoys spending time at her Friday Harbor home, traveling, and photographing animals, which means she rarely appears in her own pictures. Favorite Nor’wester-adjacent memories: the time a camper misheard her job title “dock staff” as “dog staff” (if only!) and singing “Song for Judith” in the wedding of Denison and Jonathan Lee.
