John Banker joined the Camp Nor’wester Board of Directors in 2025, bringing a deep commitment to expanding access to life-changing outdoor experiences for youth. His path to Nor’wester was paved by his previous service as Treasurer for Post 58 in Portland, where he saw firsthand the impact of mission-driven financial stewardship. John is passionate about ensuring nonprofits have the robust financial backing necessary to grow their reach and serve more young people in the outdoors.

In his professional life, John has over two decades of experience in financial services. John’s expertise in risk management and impact investing is matched by his dedication to humility and relationship-building, qualities that help strengthen the sustainable culture and future of our camp community.
